Brendan Ang is new CEO and MD of Liqui Moly Asia Pacific

Liqui Moly Asia Pacific (LMAP), which is responsible for the overall operational performance of LMAP and its subsidiary country offices, announced the promotion of Brendan Ang as its new chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director.

Ang succeeds Lars Weber, who has been appointed as the new chairman of LMAP. Weber spent more than a decade at the helm of LMAP, starting as its business development manager and eventually as its managing director. During his tenure as managing director, Weber successfully developed and shaped the company into what it is today, making crucial changes to the operational and commercial structure of the business, as well as piloting its expansion.  He will carry on to provide continued leadership, guidance and advisory to the LMAP board and its management team.

Ang graduated with a BA in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne in 2009. He joined DHL in November 2009 as key account manager and Pirelli Tyres in June 2011 as sales director for Singapore. In March 2014, he joined Piaggio Group as area sales manager. In February 2015, Ang joined Liqui Moly Singapore as general manager. He became chief operating officer of Liqui Moly Asia Pacific in February 2018. His appointment as CEO and managing director is effective January 1, 2022.

Two other appointment changes for Liqui Moly Asia Pacific are also effective from January 1, 2022. Phyllis Ong has been appointed to the role of regional marketing manager of LMAP, in addition to her current role as Liqui Moly Singapore’s marketing manager. Daniel Lim has been appointed to the role of head of Projects & Operations in LMAP. Together, these new appointments aim to further improve cross-country partnerships and collaborations across all facets of the lubricant company’s business.
