Lincoln Clean Energy is the Largest Non-Utility Developer and Owner of U.S. Wind Power Commissioned in 2017

503 megawatts of owned capacity commissioned in 2017 places company
as fourth largest owner in 2017 installations – and the largest
non-utility.

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) recently released its U.S.
Wind Industry Annual Market Report (Year Ending 2017) and Lincoln
Clean Energy (LCE), a portfolio company of I Squared Capital, was 4th
among owners of U.S. wind commissioned in 2017. LCE was also the largest
non-utility owner measured by 2017 installations, with only three of the
largest global utilities installing more U.S. wind power that year.

In 2017, LCE commissioned the 253-megawatt Amazon Wind Farm Texas and
the 250-megawatt Willow Springs Wind Farm. The 503 megawatts of combined
capacity can generate approximately 2.2 million megawatt-hours of
renewable energy per year, or enough to power the equivalent of over
200,000 U.S. homes. LCE’s 300-megawatt Tahoka Wind project is currently
under construction and will enter commercial operations in the fourth
quarter of 2018.

“2017 was a year of tremendous execution for LCE and our many partners.
Being the largest non-utility installer of U.S. wind is a great
achievement and we are proud to be leading the transition to a renewable
future in the U.S. alongside some of the largest energy companies in the
world,” said Declan Flanagan, CEO of Lincoln Clean Energy.

“With a total development pipeline of 1,300 megawatts, including 300
megawatts already under construction, LCE is well positioned to maintain
its leadership role in wind development in the U.S. through 2018 and
beyond. We look forward to another major year for LCE, for U.S. wind
power and for the clean energy jobs and local tax income that accompany
wind development,” commented Adil Rahmathulla, Partner at I Squared
Capital.
