Cooley is new VP of Manufacturing and Supply for Chevron Chemicals

Chevron Oronite, a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of fuel and lubricant additives, headquartered in San Ramon, California, U.S.A., announced that Brett Cooley will assume the role of vice president, Manufacturing and Supply, Chevron Chemicals, effective June 16, 2023.

Cooley joined Chevron in 2002 as a design engineer at the Pascagoula Refinery in Mississippi, U.S.A., before moving into roles of increasing responsibility at the Richmond Refinery in California, U.S.A.

He returns to Chemicals after having served as general manager of Oronite’s Oak Point manufacturing plant in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, U.S.A., and the Americas Manufacturing and Supply region for three years before his most recent assignment in Kazakhstan.

Cooley succeeds Mitra Basiri Kashanchi, who was appointed president of Chevron Chemicals, effective April 3, 2023.

“We warmly welcome Brett back to the Chevron Chemicals family. His previous experience managing our Oak Point facility, combined with his strong manufacturing background have him well prepared to manage our global manufacturing and supply operations,” said Kashanchi.
