Eastman partners with MKR for amine additives distribution in Europe
Eastman, a global specialty materials company, has announced the selection of Meade-King Robinson & Co. Ltd. (MKR) as the exclusive distributor of its Synergex™ multifunctional amine additives in various countries across Western and Eastern Europe. Amine additives are chemical compounds derived from ammonia used to enhance the performance of various products, including lubricants, metalworking fluids, and corrosion inhibitors.
MKR, a Liverpool-based distribution company with more than 140 years of experience in chemicals and oils, will handle Synergex sales in the U.K., Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and other countries in the region, including the Nordic area.
Rene Leppers, Eastman’s sales manager for care chemicals, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating, “After an extensive evaluation process, we’re very content with our selection of MKR. Synergex has a lot of potential in Europe, and we look forward to working with MKR to grow our business.”
Dave Smith, MKR’s sales manager, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, “We are absolutely delighted to be selected as Eastman’s distribution partner for their specialty amine additives across the U.K. and Europe. Focusing on the metalworking fluid market, we bring a unique combination of formulation, application, and component knowledge. This enables us to engage with current and potential customers, communicating the benefits of Synergex and how it meets formulation challenges.”
Eastman also collaborates with GB Chemie GmbH for the distribution of Synergex in Central Europe, covering Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Leppers added, “We’ve been very happy with GB Chemie in the Central European region and wanted to find an additional distributor to help reach the remainder of Europe. MKR will help us tap into new markets with its broad reach.”
