ENOC and Chevron lubricants joint venture opens new car service facility in Sharjah, UAE

EPPCO Lubricants, a joint venture between Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Chevron Corp., recently opened a new car service facility at Barjeel station in Sharjah, third largest city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), after Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Located on the second industrial road in Sharjah, the new service centre offers a standalone Havoline Xpress Lube outlet for oil change, among other car maintenance services like car washing, automobile detailing, etc.

“With the population of the UAE growing at around 9% year-on-year, the need for automotive services continues to increase. The opening of our standalone express service centre in Barjeel station in Sharjah comes in line with our growth strategy of expanding our lubricants business across UAE,” said ENOC Group CEO Saif Humaid Al Falasi.

EPPCO Lubricants markets an extensive range of ENOC and Caltex-branded lubricants, greases, coolants and specialty product offerings to meet the performance requirements of heavy-duty vehicles and applications. Products sold by the joint venture are blended at ENOC’s state-of-the-art 250,000 metric tonne capacity Lubricant & Grease Manufacturing Plant (ELOMP) in Fujairah.

EPPCO Lubricants also provides its customers with services like used-oil analysis and other lubricant-related plant maintenance services.

In a related story, ENOC Group recently met with senior Chevron officials to discuss existing and potential business opportunities.

The meeting between ENOC Group Vice Chairman Saeed Al Tayer, ENOC Group Chief Executive Officer Humaid Al Falasi and Chevron Corp. Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President, Midstream and Development, Michael Wirth, and Chevron Corp. Vice President of Business Development, Jay Pryor, comes at a time when the ENOC Group continues to expand its businesses across the energy value chain.

“Chevron and ENOC have had a strong partnership for nearly two decades and we remain committed to ongoing collaboration,” said Wirth.

The collaboration between Chevron and ENOC extends across various aspects of downstream operations, ranging from lubricants marketing to aviation refuelling.
