Evonik Oil Additives appoints ADCO as distributor for CIS
The Oil Additives business line of Evonik Industries AG, a specialty chemicals company headquartered in Essen, Germany, has restructured its distribution setup for its products in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The Commonwealth of Independent States was created in December 1991 by 11 countries from the ex-USSR, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.
The lubricant additives business of Evonik develops formulation solutions and base oil technologies that improve fuel economy and flow efficiency of automotive lubricants for passenger cars and commercial vehicles and increase energy efficiency and productivity of industrial lubricants for construction, mining, agricultural, and manufacturing equipment.
“We are happy to announce the deepening of our partnership with our long-term partner ADCO, which is already partnering us in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria for over 40 years. I am certain that the excellent experiences made with ADCO’s customer focus, and broad supply network in other countries will contribute to the success of the Oil Additives business line in CIS region too,” said Dominik Böhm, Customer relations director, EMEA, Evonik Oil Additives.
ADCO has officially taken over distribution of Evonik Oil Additives effective last month. The product portfolio includes VISCOPLEX® and VISCOBASE® viscosity index improver, pour point depressants and synthetic base oils.
ADCO, which is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey (now officially Turkiye), was founded in 1977 as a distributor of specialty chemicals for the petroleum industry. ADCO’s distribution network in addition to Turkey, includes the CIS, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa. ADCO currently supplies a full range of additives for the petroleum industry, including fuel and lubricant additives.
