Exol Lubricants gets approval from BMW for Optima engine oil

UKโ€™s leading independent lubricants supplier, Exol Lubricants Limited, announced that it has received its first approval from BMW for its Optima C5 LSOV 0W-20 (M520) engine oil.

This lubricant is designed for use in the latest BMW petrol engines and light duty diesel engines with petrol or diesel particulate filters.

It is a low SAPS (Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus, Sulphur) specification with low HTHS viscosity requirements and provides significant fuel saving benefits.

The specification is an ideal choice in hot running engines where its prevention of deposits keeps turbochargers in optimum condition and its carefully controlled SAPS levels protect after-treatment systems, including petrol particulate filters.

“Product development is key for us at Exol. It remains ongoing and one of continuous improvement for Exol, with no less than 10 new grades launched in the past year alone,โ€ said Steve Dunn, director, Sales & Marketing, Exol Lubricants.
