Functional Products Inc. announces new president

Functional Products Inc., which formulates, blends and manufactures lubricant additives, announced that Erik Willett, has been promoted to company president. He succeeds David DeVore, who has served as president for more than 18 years. DeVore will assume the role of chairman of Functional Products.

Willett has extensive experience in formulation.  Under his prior role as vice president of Technology and Development for Functional Products, the company introduced 26 new products in the last two years.  He will continue to lead Functional Products’ technical team.

“Functional Products’ mission is to provide innovative chemistry for lubricants.  Erik’s formulary insight and understanding of customer requirements will allow Functional Products to respond to some very fundamental changes in lubricants and grow in the decades to come,” said DeVore.   

Willett obtained a BS in Chemistry at the University of Connecticut and a PhD in Polymer Sciences at the University of Akron.
