IMCD appoints managing director for Australia and New Zealand
IMCD Australia and New Zealand, part of the IMCD Group, a global leading distributor of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has appointed Martin Stoemmer as managing director for Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 May 2021.
In his role, Stoemmer will lead and further drive the strategic growth ambitions of IMCD Australia and New Zealand, continue to expand positive and trust-based relations with business partners and customers to further strengthen IMCD’s position and reputation.
Martin will be based at the IMCD offices in Melbourne, Australia and will be reporting to Haiko Zuidhoff, vice president of APAC.

Martin has a successful and long track-record in speciality chemicals which includes strong distribution management experience and earlier coverage in the APAC region. Under Martin’s leadership we will continue to drive growth whilst keeping a strong principal supplier and customer centric focus by providing innovative technical and service solutions,” said Zuidhoff.

Stoemmer joins IMCD from Wacker, a German multinational chemical company, where he held various senior management roles on a global and regional level in the U.S.A., Europe and Asia Pacific. Stoemmer has an MBA from the American Intercontinental University, in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. He has been working in the speciality chemicals industry for more than 30 years.
