India’s Minister for Petroleum inaugurates lubes facility in HFZA

The Trinity Lubes & Grease production facility, a wholly owned subsidiary of India’s Siddharth Grease & Lubes, located at the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), was inaugurated on November 17, 2021, by India’s Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Ji Puri.

Also present were Amar Nath, additional secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas; Shri Subhash Kumar, chairman and managing director, ONGC; Saud Salim Al Mazouel, director, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority; Esha Srivastava, director (International Cooperation), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas;. Sandeep Kumar Bayappu, deputy chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi; and,  Risha Oberai, second secretary, Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi. 

Trinity Lubes & Grease’s manufacturing facility is fully automated, not just for lubricants but also for greases, making it the most advanced lubricant plant in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. It stands on the inner harbour of the Hamriyah Free Zone giving access for barges to load and off load products, adding value in the supply chain especially for marine lubricants.

“Trinity Lubes & Grease facility will significantly increase the availability of top of the line, grease and lubricants and fulfil the growing need of the GCC, MENA and CIS region. Giving quicker responses to specific customer requirements and supply tailor-made greases and lubricants, for automotive aftermarket, industrial and OEM customers across the region,” said Siddharth Sachdeva, managing director of the Executive Board of Trinity Lubes & Grease, FZC.

The plant and its processes are all ISO certified namely ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 45001:2018.  

“It is wonderful to be working from this fantastic new facility in the UAE, one of the great petroleum gateways to the world,” said Mark Mathias, sales director.
