Stolthaven Terminals completes sale of Port Alma terminal

Stolthaven Terminals has concluded the sale of its Port Alma terminal near Gladstone in Queensland, Australia, to a private buyer. Stolthaven Australia Pty Ltd  operated the terminal located on 20 hectares of land owned by the Gladstone Ports Corp. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This divestment follows a strategic review of our terminal portfolio and is in line with our long-term strategy to invest in assets that are conveniently located to our customers’ operations. We remain committed to developing our terminal network to deliver the safe and reliable services that we are known for,” said Stolthaven Terminals President Guy Bessant.

Stolthaven Terminals will continue to serve its customers in the region from its terminals located in Coode Island and Newcastle, Australia, and Bluff and Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

Stolthaven Terminals, with almost five million cubic metres (cbm) of storage capacity for bulk liquids, including chemicals, clean petroleum products, liquified petroleum gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals, is part of Stolt Nielsen Limited, based in London, UK. Stolt-Nielsen Limited provides transportation and storage for liquids, notably specialty and bulk liquid chemicals. In 2021, the company reported USD2.18 billion in operating revenue.
