Klüber Lubrication opens expanded facility in Mysore, India
Klüber Lubrication, which is part of Germany’s Freudenberg Chemical Specialities, inaugurated a state-of-the-art laboratory, production and warehousing facilities at its existing site in Mysore, India.
The new facility, built at a cost of Rs 135 crore (USD 20 million), covers 17,000 square meters, making it one of the largest sites for Freudenberg Chemical Specialties. It will serve various user industries such as automotive, food, cement, steel, textile, and general industries for both domestic and global customers. The new site will become an innovation hub, with its comprehensive testing facility and R&D centre, the company said.
Speciality lubricating oils, greases, pastes, aerosols and release agents across Klüber Lubrication, OKS and Chem-Trend brands also will be manufactured at the site.
Inaugurated on Aug. 11, the plant is one of the Freudenberg Group’s 14 manufacturing plants in India. The products manufactured in Mysore will cater to various applications in steel, textile, automotive and general industries for both domestic as well as global markets.
The Group’s India Representative, Jorg Matthias Grossmann, in a statement, said the expanded manufacturing facility will lend impetus to the country’s “Make in India” initiative.

Our new facility will help us in doing this and be closer to our customers.”
