Beckons to bring green energy technology to southern Asia

Indian security printing technology company Beckons Industries Ltd. said it has struck a deal for the distribution of its green energy algae technology in southern Asian countries like China, Taiwan and Singapore. The company’s algae oil technology is used for the production of alternative sources of energy such as biodiesel and biojet fuels and will generate tax-free carbon credits, it said. Under an agreement with Hong Kong-based trading company Jilani Intl., the company will transfer its technology to southern Asia, while its partner will make a financial contribution to promote the technology in the area, adding a number of blue-chip clients to Beckons’ customer base.
