Canada's AMG Bioenergy to purchase jatropha and eucalyptus plantations in China

AMG Bioenergy Resources Holdings Ltd. announced that it had formed a unit to acquire a 122-hectare jatropha plantation and a 201-hectare eucalyptus plantation in China. The Canadian biofuel company said that the unit will be wholly owned. It expects to close a definitive agreement for the land purchases by the end of October. The company announced the transaction in January, but the formation of the unit took longer than expected. (September 9, 2011)
