Mission NewEnergy wins contract to supply biodiesel

Mission NewEnergy Limited signed a contract to provide sustainability-certified biodiesel to a global oil major. “Our unique position of having a fully certified biodiesel under the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification System (ISCC) gives Mission a strong competitive advantage in the European market,” said Nathan Mahalingam, group CEO of Mission. The six months contract will begin in January 2012 which will generate revenues in excess of US$40 million. “While we continue to see refining opportunities for ISCC palm biodiesel, keen interest continues to be expressed in jatropha based biodiesel globally,” Mahalingam said.
