Pertamina adjusts non-subsidized fuel prices

State-owned PT Pertamina has reduced its rates for fuel sold outside the government subsidy system in Indonesia by 7-15% for the month of October, citing declining international oil prices and a stronger rupiah. The price decreases came on the heels of a 3-15% drop in Mean of Platts Singapore products assessments during September, and a 0.16% strengthening of the Indonesian rupiah against the U.S. dollar, Pertamina said in a statement. The company also reduced the rates of its “Pertamax,” “Pertamax Plus” and and “Pertamina DEX” premium gasoline brands for public consumption, which do not enjoy any government subsidies, by 100 rupiah (US$0.01) /liter across the board from September.
