Olin Corporation names new CEO Kenneth Lane

Olin Corporation, based in Clayton, Missouri, U.S.A., announced Kenneth Lane will become president, CEO and board member effective March 18th, replacing current CEO Scott Sutton who is stepping down from those roles after facilitating an orderly transition.

Lane was LyondellBasell’s EVP of Global Olefins and Polyolefins bringing over 30 years of chemicals industry experience at leading multinationals. Olin cited his proven record delivering results and driving growth. The board appointed current director William Weideman as chairman.

โ€œKen has demonstrated leadership across commodities and specialties that can leverage Olinโ€™s platform,” said Weideman. Lane said he looks forward to realizing Olin’s potential by building on strengths like manufacturing excellence and talent.

Sutton departed the board alongside the CEO change. He will assist Lane in assuming leadership responsibilities until mid-March.
