Relevo to market Cepsa lubricants in Colombia

Spain’s Compania Espanola de Petroleos, S.A.U. (Cepsa) has signed an agreement with Relevo, S.A. to market its lubricants in Colombia. The target is to reach a sales volume of 1,800 tonnes per year within five years.

Cepsa has operated in Colombia since 2001 through its exploration and production activities.

“This is a great opportunity for us to enter a market like Colombia’s with the help of a partner like Relevo, whose team combines youth and experience. Latin America is a key market in which we want to consolidate our presence and marketing activity. We are certain that we can offer a differentiated and prestigious product along with the extensive marketing experience that Relevo brings,” said Carlos Giner, manager of Cepsa Lubricants.

“This strategic alliance with Cepsa combines all Relevo’s experience in representing and marketing top tier international lubricant brands with the experience of a global energy company like Cepsa, present in several continents and in all stages of the petroleum value chain since 1929. Cepsa is a technological leader with an outstanding product image and comprehensive portfolio that will doubtlessly allow us to achieve success,” Alvaro Giraldo, general manager, Relevo, said.

Cepsa has a diverse lubricant, base stocks and paraffin wax portfolio, which it has marketed in more than 80 countries since 1950 through a specialised sales team. The company is looking to continue growing with its new line of high-tech XTAR lubricants.
