TVS Motor introduces semi-synthetic engine oil in association with Indian Oil

TVS Motor Company, the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, with an annual production capacity of four million two-wheelers and 120,000 three-wheelers, announced the launch of a new engine oil, TRU4 KRAAFT, for the Indian market.

TRU4 KRAAFT oil, a semi-synthetic engine oil, was developed in association with India’s state-owned enterprise, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

“We understand the criticality of a having a well-balanced engine oil formulation to extend the health of the vehicle. With TRU4 KRAAFT, we have created a product which enhances engine durability and assures maximum fuel economy. The product has undergone rigorous testing to meet relevant standards. We believe that when the customers experience its first-hand benefits, the oil will find wide acceptance across the aftermarket,” said K. Venkateswarlu, TVS Motor senior vice president – Parts Business.

TVS Motor said that TRU4 KRAAFT oil can operate in temperatures exceeding 140 degree Celsius. Further, that the oil formulation can help minimize sludge deposits from the critical parts of the engine, ensuring engine cleanliness. The friction modifiers in the formulation aid in smooth clutch operation, thus ensuring clutch durability. Further, the engine oil is supposed to help protect the gear teeth from pitting.

TRU4 KRAAFT engine oils will be available from IOCL distributors and retail networks across the country. It is available in two sizes, 900 millilitres (ML) and one litre.
