BASF appoints Rost as VP of Global Marketing & Product Devt.

Dr. Tanja Rost has been appointed as new vice president and will be heading BASF Fuel and Lubricant Solutions’ Global Marketing & Product Development based in Ludwigshafen, She succeeds Dr. Andreas Fechtenkötter, effective May 1, 2023.

Fechtenkötter will be moving to Hong Kong senior vice president, Dispersions for Asia Pacific.

Rost completed her PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Münster, Germany, with studies in Toronto, Canada, and a minor in Industrial Chemistry. She joined BASF in 2011 as Lab Team Lead for Architectural Coatings. In 2014 she was management consultant for BASF Inhouse Consulting. In 2017, she was appointed  executive staff to the President of the Operating Division of Performance Chemicals. In 2020, she joined Strategic Project Management of Plastic Additives of Performance Chemicals. In 2021, she was appoinrted head of Global Marketin,g OPPANOL®, Digitalization & Strategic Projects of Fuel and Lubricant Solutions, Performance Chemicals.
