Eurol introduces new fully synthetic engine oil
Eurol Lubricants, the largest independent lubricant manufacturer in The Netherlands, has introduced a fully synthetic engine oil for gasoline and diesel engines that meets both the ACEA C3 engine oil category and OEM approval for Renault RN17.
Eurol Actence RNT 5W-30 is also suitable for Renault engines, where the RN0700 and RN0710 specifications are recommended. The RN0720 specification is also covered, except for diesel engines before 2018. For these, the RN0720 specification remains active.
Eurol Actence RNT 5W-30 with the ACEA C3 specification is widely applicable and suitable for various models and types of car brands including Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Dacia and Kia. ACEA C3, together with ACEA C2, category currently represent the largest markets for ACEA light-duty engine oils.
ACEA C3 is a mid-SAPS level engine oil category, intended for use as a catalyst compatible oil at extended drain intervals in vehicles with all types of modern aftertreatment systems and high-performance passenger car and light duty van gasoline and DI diesel engines that are designed to be capable of using oils with a minimum HTHS viscosity of 3.5 mPas.
Renault RN17 is the latest 5W-30 mid-SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur) service fill specification for gasoline and EURO 6 diesel vehicles, which replaces Renault’s older specifications RN700 and RN710. Renault RN17 is fully backwards compatible with Renault 700 and 710.
The latest Renault oil specification was designed for turbocharged gasoline direct injection (TGDI) engines and includes gasoline particulate filter (GPF) protection and specific tests to ensure oxidation performance, piston cleanliness and sooted valvetrain wear performance.
