More and more stakeholders are interested in CCU’s fast-moving, industry driven innovation area. Topics in 2019 are carbon capture, hydrogen, fuels for cars and aviation, chemicals and polymers as well as mineralisation and proteins. Several companies showed their interest on getting involved into this field and a lot of pilot, demonstration and even commercial plants were planned and built in the last twelve months. In addition, the political framework conditions for CCU have also improved considerably in recent months.
