EVLOMO and PTT launch first EV charging station in Thailand

EVLOMO, in partnership with PTT Oil and Retail Business PLC (OR), launched their first electric vehicle (EVs) charging station at PTT Station, in Ban Chang, Rayong, along Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor.

The Thai government has set an ambitious goal for the adoption of EVs in Thailand by 2035. Without adequate EV charging infrastructure, the rollout of EVs at a huge scale would not be possible.

EVLOMO’s partner PPT has more than 2,290 fuel retail outlets, along with 3,440 coffee shops under its Cafe Amazon brand all over Thailand. It also manages 2,040 convenience stores.

EVLOMO will install more than 1,000 new fast chargers to accelerate EV adoption in Thailand. Its target is to have DC charging available every 50 kilometers on their electric vehicle charging network. EVLOMO is also entering into the residential EV charging space by introducing AC chargers and will install a mix of AC and DC fast chargers at various universities, schools, hospitals, and hotels all over Thailand. In the coming weeks EVLOMO also plans to finalize the launch of Pure EV stations across Thailand.
