Retail sales of Gazpromneft-brand motor oils begin

Gazpromneft Lubricants, the operator of Gazprom Neft’s motor oil production and sales business, has begun selling motor oils under the Gazpromneft brand. The brand, under which only oils for industrial equipment were previously sold, has expanded its product line to include synthetic, synthetic blend, and conventional oils for gasoline and diesel engines in cars and trucks, as well as transmission oils, lubricants and technical fluids.
Sales of Gazpromneft motor oils have been launched in auto parts stores, as well as at gas stations and repair stations in all regions of Russia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and a number of non-CIS countries.
Gazpromneft motor oils provide reliable engine protection throughout the duration of their use, possess improved cleaning and anti-corrosive properties, and can stand up to both high and low temperatures. The products meet international standards and are approved by leading auto manufacturers. More than 60 product names created for the mass market are being sold under the Gazpromneft brand name.
New products are being produced at the Omsk Lubricants Plant. A full cycle production facility has been built at the location, which includes the manufacture of base oils and commercial oils, packaging, and shipment of the products. The blending and packaging plant at the Omsk Lubricants Plant has a capacity of 180,000 tons and is the most state-of-the-art, high-technology motor oil production facility in Russia and the CIS countries.
The new complex in Omsk is designed to make a broad range of motor vehicle and industrial oils. The second line of the complex at the Omsk Lubricants Plant is scheduled to go on line in 2013, which will include a high-precision, light-duty blending process with a capacity of 110,000 tons. This will make it possible to sell oils using the most advanced technologies, which previously were produced only at the Gazprom Neft plant in Italy.
“Developing the motor oil business and expanding the range of our products holds a big potential for us…. Using our international experience, we are creating a production capacity in Russia for high-technology, affordably-priced products which are just as good as competitors’ products that are imported into Russia,” noted Gazprom Neft Deputy CEO for logistics, refining, and sales, Anatoly Cherner.
