Shell Pakistan wins KSE’s top companies award

Pakistan’s Karachi Stock Exchange recently awarded the 2006 Top Companies Award to Shell Pakistan Ltd., a subsidiary of the Royal Dutch Shell P.L.C. group. The awards were conferred after a lapse of two years and are KSE’s means of recognizing the excellent performance of the top 25 companies on the basis of comprehensive criteria. Which includes dividend payout, shares turnover, return on equity, compliance with listing regulations and good corporate governance. Since the inception of the award, Shell Pakistan has been conferred the awarde 19th time that Shell Pakistan Ltd. has won this award. On behalf of the company, the award was received by Asif Sindhu, chief financial officer from the chief guest, Shaukat Tarin, adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Economic Affairs, Revenue & Statistics at an impressive ceremony held at the Karachi Stock Exchange.
